FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
About the Foss Tower
The Foss Tower is a cold exposure system, but it’s not a cold plunge. Rather than submerging in water, you stand beneath the tower as it releases 60 litres of water overhead in 16 seconds, delivering a powerful full-body cold cascade that drops your body temperature immediately. Think of it as a modern, upright alternative to the traditional plunge – dramatic, space-efficient, and purpose-built for contrast therapy alongside a sauna.
The Foss Tower is designed to pair with a sauna as part of a complete contrast therapy setup — alternating between heat and cold to improve circulation, support recovery, and deliver a deeply invigorating experience. Many of our customers describe the cold cascade as more visceral and exhilarating than a cold plunge, similar to the traditional bucket showers found in Korean or Nordic spa culture.
The Foss Tower is built specifically for outdoor use. All materials are selected for long-term outdoor durability. If you’re considering an indoor application, we’d recommend reaching out to discuss your specific setup – we’re happy to talk through what’s possible.
Yes – a wall-mounted version is currently in development, intended for commercial use as a replacement for traditional shower or bucket shower installations. It’s designed to integrate cleanly into architectural spaces and can be mounted in a ceiling drop with only the collar and pull visible. This option is expected to be available in late April. If you’re interested, contact us to be added to the waitlist.
Water, Temperature & Connection
No – the Foss Tower does not chill or cool the water. It runs directly from your hose or plumbed water supply, so the temperature of the cascade depends on your incoming water source. In cooler climates, this naturally delivers a cold and invigorating experience. In warmer regions, you may want to plan around cooler times of year or consider a chilled supply line.
The Foss Tower uses a 3/4″ GHT (garden hose thread) female connection, which attaches directly to a standard garden hose. It can also be plumbed directly into a water line – whichever works best for your setup.
The tank refills in approximately 3 minutes between uses, so it’s ready to go again quickly for back-to-back sessions.
Pricing & Finish Options
The Foss Tower starts at $10,925 for faux woodgrain PVC finishes, and $12,675 for real wood finishes – a $1,750 premium.
All pricing is in CAD. Shipping and installation costs vary by location.
There are nine finishes across two categories:
